- ABSTRACT- Henry thinks he is right for running away and to justify it, he throws a pinecone @ a squirrel. He says, it's okay to run when faced with danger...Many do. After that, he goes to the chapel and sees a dead man staring @ him and being eaten by ants. The fear death keeps Henry from walking away from him with his back to the dead man. The living feed off the dead.
- RESPONSE- Henry feels guilty for leaving the battle without the knowledge of where his regimend is and how he will return. Everyone is scattered.
- QUESTION- Why was Henry going to the chapel?
