• ABSTRACT- A battle in uneven terrain makes it difficult for the regiment to hold their lines. There were already dead soldiers on the field indcating that a battle had already taken place prior to the regiments' arrival.
• RESPONSE- The regiment was dissapointed when they discovered that the rebels had already fought there. This ment they were alwase a step ahead of them. Henry relieved the dead flag carrier of his duties.
• QUESTION- Did the rebels know the mule drivers were on their way?
