• ABSTRACT- After jim died Henry felt that the tattered man also was going to die like Jim, Henry and the tattered soldier left together; becoming companions, and the tattered soldier lead them to his friend Tom Jamison's house. There they discussed to them and other men in battle, what makes war justifiable.
• RESPONSE- Henry is becoming a stronger individual and not being so dependent on his mommy and realizing what war really is and how independent he needs to be.. it really is every man for himself.
• QUESTION- Henry has been questioning what it is that he feels towards war and is he sure yet? What does he really think of war?
