He called Sally Hayes and they planned to go to a matinee. He hates the word grand. When he went to Grand Central Station he saw 2 nuns w/ bad suitcases.. he felt bad for them and their breakfast. He gave them 10 bucks for his contribution and they spoke of Romeo and Juliet. The nuns loved it, but when they were leaving, he blew smoke in their face.. he didn't mean to, but he felt soo bad for it. Holden Vitamin Caulfield- light eater... healthy vitamins...etc.
Reflection-------
Holden never thought a bad thing about these nuns when he saw them. He treated them wonderfully even though he was atheist and didn't insult their religion or anything. He finally got to talk to someone about his interests... and they cared to know. It seemed as if that made his day. W/o intending... he blew smoke in their faces, but he appologized and everyone seemed as there were no hard feelings.
